About Marcus Lyons

The recipient of a bachelor's in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Marcus Lyons graduated in 2009 and subsequently launched Lyons Group, Inc. Since starting the full-service apartment brokerage and development firm, Marcus Lyons has developed more than $100 million in projects throughout Tennessee and Georgia. These include a $10 million residential project involving the construction of 82 garden-style rental homes, a $19 million East Brainerd housing development, and Bridgeview on Chattanooga's North Shore. Mr. Lyons is also a former senior director at Berkadia. He spent six years with the prominent commercial lender and managed more than $700 million in multi-family sales. In addition to other transactions, he facilitated a $3.9 million sale of five downtown apartment buildings and originated $68.8 million in financing for a senior housing portfolio. Complementing his experience in multi-family property development and brokerage, he maintains membership with a number of organizations, including the National Multifamily Housing Council, the National Apartment Association, and the Chattanooga Apartment Association.
